HIVED, the UK’s first all-electric parcel delivery company explicitly designed for the e-commerce era, has just raised $42 million in Series B funding. Based in London, this AI-powered startup is reinventing logistics from the ground up, bringing a tech-first, emissions-free alternative to the traditional delivery landscape.

Despite having the world’s third-largest e-commerce market, with online retail accounting for roughly 10% of the country's GDP, the UK’s logistics sector remains dominated by outdated systems. That’s where HIVED is doing things differently.

Rather than retrofitting legacy networks, HIVED has built its infrastructure from the ground up. Its proprietary platform, HIVEDmind, utilises real-time data, AI, and adaptive routing algorithms to create a seamless flow between retailers, warehouses, drivers, and customers, all within a single, fully integrated system.

Everything runs on a 100% electric fleet. Even the delivery zones themselves are reimagined, dynamic clusters that shift in real-time based on parcel volumes, replacing rigid postcodes with fluid, data-driven logistics.

For customers, this means that every parcel is traceable from the depot to the doorstep. Retailers can access live dashboards that display geo-tagged delivery photos, alerts for suspicious activity, and behavioural insights, such as repeat fraud patterns. It's not just transparency; it’s a logistics intelligence layer that helps brands protect their reputations and deliver a better end-to-end experience.

What sets HIVED apart is the precision of its data. The system understands exactly how long deliveries take in different neighbourhoods, where common obstacles slow things down (think gated buildings or tricky parking spots), and what drivers do on the ground, not just what they’re supposed to do. These real-world nuances are complex to model, but they’re critical to solving the notorious last-metre challenge.

That level of detail gives HIVED a significant edge. It’s currently the highest-rated parcel delivery company in the UK on Trustpilot, and customers are so satisfied that the option to choose HIVED is swaying buying decisions. For partner retailers, that’s a competitive advantage money can’t buy.

The $42 million funding round was led by NordicNinja, an investor known for backing logistics disruptors like Bolt and Einride. Other participants included Wex Venture Capital, Marunouchi Innovation Partners, Elemental Impact, Yamato Holdings, Future Back Ventures (from Bain & Co), Rocketship VC, and existing investors such as Planet A.

The funds will accelerate HIVED’s hiring plans, support its expansion into new UK cities, and continue to refine the tech that powers its next-gen delivery network.

Murvah Iqbal, Co-founder and CEO of HIVED, said:

Parcel delivery should feel seamless, not stressful, but most of the industry is still running on systems that were never designed for ecommerce. At HIVED, we’ve taken a fresh approach – rethinking everything from first principles, putting technology and experience at the centre, and proving there’s a better way to do this at scale. This raise is a huge step forward in making great delivery the norm, not the exception.
