Sustainable Wealth Group (SWG) is pleased to announce its ongoing role in supporting GT Wings, a developer of wind-assisted propulsion systems (WAPS) for the maritime sector.

Through its extensive network of sophisticated and high-net-worth investors, SWG successfully facilitated an initial £500,000 capital raise for GT Wings. These funds have assisted the company in the development of its wind-propulsion technology. Following this milestone, SWG is now working to coordinate a further £500,000 in commitments from its network as part of a wider £2 million funding round, led by Grieg Kapital with participation from Blackfinch Ventures and One Planet Capital.

Driving Maritime Decarbonisation

The capital is intended to support GT Wings as it approaches manufacturing readiness and the commercial deployment of the AirWingâ„¢ system. This technology is designed to assist ship operators in reducing fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions, aligning with upcoming regulatory shifts such as FuelEU Maritime, which introduces stricter emissions intensity requirements.

Harvey Knight, CEO of Sustainable Wealth Group, commented:
“We are pleased to have introduced our investor network to GT Wings, facilitating an initial £500,000 that helped the company reach its current development stage. Our role is to connect ambitious startups with the right capital, and we are now focused on securing a further £500,000 from our network to support this £2 million round. The AirWing technology offers a pragmatic solution for a maritime industry facing increasing regulatory pressure, and we look forward to helping GT Wings navigate this next phase of growth."
