Telehouse Signs 10-Year Renewable Energy Deal with RWE for London Docklands Data Hub

In a significant stride toward sustainable energy integration, RWE, the UK’s largest power generator and a global leader in renewable energy, has inked a 10-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Telehouse International Corporation of Europe. As a premier data center service provider, Telehouse will leverage this partnership to fortify its commitment to green energy solutions.

The agreement ensures that the London Array offshore wind farm in the outer Thames Estuary will supply a significant portion of the renewable energy powering Telehouse’s London Docklands campus—a cornerstone of Europe’s digital infrastructure. This strategic move cements Telehouse’s role in reducing carbon footprints within the data center industry while securing a long-term, stable energy supply through 2035.

With the PPA set to take effect immediately, the deal stabilizes energy sourcing. It reinforces corporate sustainability initiatives, aligning with the broader industry shift toward carbon neutrality. As data centers expand their operational footprints, energy-intensive demands remain a focal point of environmental concerns. This collaboration between RWE and Telehouse marks a critical fusion of renewable power with digital infrastructure, setting a benchmark for future industry partnerships.
