Sustainable Times Announces Inaugural RISE Awards




London, UK - April 1st, 2025 - Sustainable Times, the media platform and community bridging sustainable founders and investors, with essential resources and news, is thrilled to announce the launch of the inaugural RISE Awards. This prestigious event is dedicated to recognising and championing excellence in responsible business and investment. The awards will honour individuals, organisations, and initiatives in a range of categories including environmental, social, governance (ESG) and EIS/SEIS government investment scheme.


Over 400+ investors, founders and industry professionals will attend the Sustainable Times RISE Awards on 6th November at De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms, Central London. By highlighting innovation, leadership, and impact across various sectors the awards hope to inspire further action and collaboration in the pursuit of environmental and social responsibility.

This year's awards recognise businesses that have excelled within the framework of the Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) and the Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme (SEIS). These government-backed initiatives are crucial for fostering growth in early-stages and expanding UK businesses. EIS, established in 1994, supports companies with gross assets under £15 million and fewer than 250 employees by offering significant tax reliefs to investors. SEIS, targeted at even earlier-stage ventures, provides similar tax advantages for seed capital investment. 


Award Categories


The RISE Awards will feature several categories, including:


  • Best Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) registered businesses in Renewable Energy, Tech, Transport, Construction, Healthcare, Food, Fashion and AI

  • Best EIS/ SEIS, Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) focused businesses in FinTech, Investment, Legal, Regulatory, Finance

  • Public Awards: Featuring Founder of the Year, Mentor of the Year, Sustainable Business of the Year, Rising Star Award (Rise Award)

Entry, Nominations and Selection

Entries are submitted via platform registration, with finalists chosen by an expert panel from leading organisations like Octopus Energy, Microsoft, and TechUK. Public nomination categories and voting will follow this summer, culminating in the awards show.
