ROARSOME Takes Off at Gatwick

Award-winning kidswear brand ROARSOME is bringing the wild outdoors to one of the UK’s busiest travel hubs. This week, the brand will open a new pop-up store at @gatwickairport North Terminal, transforming travel time into adventure time for families on the move.

Backed by Sustainable Wealth Group, which is currently fundraising to support the brand’s expansion, ROARSOME is on a mission to get kids back outside and having fun while they do it.

The Gatwick pop-up follows the success of their flagship Northcote Road location and this time, they’re upping the play factor. Their iconic Roarsome Roadie Citroen H-Van has been turned into a beachy surf shack just in time for summer. Expect to find their Signature Swimwear, UV Sun Hats, Poncho Towels, Sunglasses, Swimming Goggles, and other outdoor essentials.

I sat down earlier in the year to hear their story on how they got to where they are. Listen to the full podcast here.

Over dinner , founders Ed and Will wondered why children's clothing lacked the fun and adventurous spirit of kids themselves—why wasn’t there apparel that encouraged play and exploration outdoors?

"And we were like, surely that's a genius idea. Why doesn't anyone do that? We had no kids, no fashion background. But we thought that's quite a good idea. And then in the morning we were like, that's still a good idea."

This seemingly simple thought sparked the creation of Roarsome, a brand that has evolved far beyond ski suits to become an aspirational global outdoor kids brand.

If you're a founder seeking the recognition and investment that ROARSOME has achieved, consider applying to the RISE Awards.
