Good Energy Group, a leading provider of renewable electricity and energy services, has acquired solar installation company Amelio Enterprises in a deal valued at up to £6 million.
Amelio Enterprises has a strong presence in the commercial solar sector and extensive experience in projects for educational institutions and the public sector. With established operations in Lincolnshire and across North England, this acquisition allows Good Energy to expand its geographical reach and strengthen its position in the decentralised energy services market.
Amelio Solar, renowned for its rooftop solar solutions, perfectly aligns with Good Energy's mission of fostering a cleaner, greener future. This acquisition, which complements Good Energy's focus on domestic installations, paves the way for easier generation, use, and sharing of renewable energy.
Nigel Pocklington, chief executive of Good Energy, said: "Amelio Solar is a perfect fit for Good Energy as we continue to grow our clean energy service offerings, especially in the commercial and public sectors where demand for solar installations remains strong and less susceptible to the cyclical fluctuations seen in the domestic market.
"Amelio Solar's proven ability to deliver large, complex solar projects will enable us to better support businesses and public sector bodies in cutting their carbon emissions while positioning Good Energy as a leader in commercial solar solutions.
